This very rare Victorian covered butter dish was made by George Davidson in the Prince William design. It adds a touch of elegance to any kitchen or dining room or would grace a collector’s display cupboard. Made with high quality Victorian style glass it stands at 12cms high and 16.5cms wide. This piece truly showcases the intricate design from the era and the deep blue colour adds a touch of sophistication to the piece.
The butter dish and its cover are in very good condition for its age, however, there is a slight crack on the outer frill, on the lower dish, please see photograph. There is also a smooth blemish, on the inside of the rim of the lid, please see photo.
