Soviet Pobeda ZIM 2602 – Unworn NOS with Original Box – Black Grid Dial – USSR Mechanical

A genuine Soviet “Pobeda” (Победа, “Victory”) wristwatch in new old stock condition.

It has never been worn and shows no signs of use. It has hour and minute hands, plus a small seconds hand on a separate sub-dial.

Why this one stands out
Most Pobedas on the market today have been worn for decades. This USSR-era piece has never been worn.

The dial is one of ZIM’s most striking decorative designs: deep black with a fine grid pattern, crosshair lines and a bold stylised “12”. This design is noticeably less common than the standard plain dials, and it looks graphic and modern.

History
Pobeda is one of the most iconic Soviet watch brands. It was created after the Second World War, and its name commemorates the victory. This watch was made at the Maslennikov Plant (ZIM) in Kuibyshev (Samara). ZIM produced Pobeda watches from the early 1950s until the factory closed in the 2000s. The ZIM 2602 calibre was produced for more than 50 years, longer than any other Soviet watch movement, and it is known for being simple and reliable. The dial reads "Сделано в СССР" (Made in USSR), so the watch was made before 1991.

Specifications

Important: movement condition
The watch is currently not running. Most likely the factory lubricant has thickened after decades in storage, which is common for watches that have sat unused for a long time. The ZIM 2602 is a simple movement that watchmakers know well, and parts are readily available. The watch will need a service (cleaning and lubrication) by a watchmaker before use. The price reflects this.
