DESCRIPTION
This is my personal item. This is a reproduction Chinese porcelain bowl with an 18th century fox hunting scene. Raised on a short foot and steep sides,
painted in over glaze polychrome enamels, the hunting scenes were made after
English mezzotints. The strong color palette and rich decorative effect are
hallmarks of Chinese export hunt bowls.
There is a fox hunting scene inside the bowl and on the outside are displays of fox hounds and scenery. When you rub your hand against the outside and or the inside of the bowl you can feel the design; it doesn’t lay absolutely flat, it is raised a bit. (mezzotints) It is approximately 10” in diameter and approximately 4 ½” tall. This is a heavy bowl weighing in about 2 pounds and 11 ounces.
On the bottom, there is a sticker stating made in
China, and in the center on the bottom is Chinese lettering. I have found that
some of these stamps are not what they appear to be. The stamp is indicative of
a much older time period, however found this piece was likely made some time
between 1970 – 1990. The paper sticker indicates it was likely made after 1970, as prior the verbiage would have been stamped on the item (e.g., bowl).
I purchased it on Yongsan in Seoul, Korea in 1993.
It has always been lovingly displayed, and for the last twenty years has been
stored in the cabinet. It is time for someone else to admire this magnificent
bowl.
NOTE: The beautiful bowl will be sent USPS, insured (approximately $4.40 included in shipping cost). If it cost less to ship, I will refund the difference in shipping.
I do my best when I take pictures and upload to be
as accurate as possible to the true colors. However, the color settings on your
monitor may skew the color and of course is beyond my control.
Thank you for checking out my items. I appreciate
it! I do my best to describe each item as accurately as possible. If you have

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
I get some questions about the shopping cart. Once
you load things in your shopping cart you can ask for an invoice. Ebay says the
button is just to the right of your user name and the button says, 'request
total'.
If your Paypal account is linked to your eBay
account when you click on the submit transaction button, it will be immediately
debited it from your account. If it is not linked, then you can request an
invoice.
If both your accounts are linked and you have to
pay the entire shipping, have no fear as I ALWAYS refund the difference in
shipping.
