In a few weeks, the Breeders' Cup will celebrate its 43rd year of existence. During that time, certain specific years stood out as unique and the saddle cloths themselves were recognized with special added embroidery. For example, in honor of the 2001 Breeders' Cup, American flags were embroidered specially on the cloths to honor September 11. And in 2008, Breeders' Cup executives ordered a special patch on both the exercise and race cloths, honoring the 25th anniversary of these World Championships. With that, I'm listing the actual exercise saddle cloth worn by TIZZY'S TUNE during the days leading up to her 5th place finish from a full field of her peers in the 2008 running of the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint won by the brilliant Ventura. The saddle cloth is in perfect worn condition.
