Antique Ansonia Clock Co. “Whisper” porcelain mantel clock with ornate green floral case and gold-tone accents.

The dial is marked “Manufactured by The Ansonia Clock Co., New York, United States of America” and has the Ansonia trademark. The movement inside is also marked Ansonia Clock Co., New York, U.S.A. The back of the porcelain case is marked “WHISPER.”

This is a heavy, decorative antique clock with a very attractive green porcelain case, floral decoration, raised scrollwork, and gold accents.

Condition:

Clock is being sold untested / for restoration or parts.

* Pendulum is missing

* Rear cover/back door is missing

* Winding key is included

* Glass is intact

* Front bezel/door opens and closes properly

* Porcelain case has age-related crazing, especially visible on the lighter-colored back

* I do not see any major chips, breaks, or large cracks in the porcelain case

* Dial has visible dark hairline lines/marks that appear consistent with age

* Metal trim and movement show normal age-related patina and wear

* Floral decoration and green glaze still display very nicely

* Approximately 10–11 inches tall and about 12 inches wide based on measurements shown in the photos

I have not attempted to wind or operate the clock because the pendulum is missing, so proper timekeeping and strike/chime functions are unknown.
