This Buy It Now auction features a beautiful, authentic vintage Pendleton National Park trade style wool blanket.  This blanket features the iconic historic designed originally introduced for Yellowstone National park (and later revived as the Grand Teton Park Blanket). This makes it an especially rare edition, pre WWII edition!  It showcases a bold cream/tan field accented by thick black and red horizontal stripes.

This is a true, classic piece of Americana woven from the highest quality 100% pure Virgin Wool in the Pacific Northwest USA.  It features the traditional 5 black "point" markers woven directly into the pattern.  Heavyweight, dense and incredibly warm.

The twin size from this era (1937 to 1947) was originally made to be 66 x 90".  Shrinking of a few inches on these blankets is normal.  Size is about 63 by 88 inches.     

 There is some expected fraying/age browning to the silk binding as is common.  It has wear/a few moth nibbles consistent with age but is in really nice vintage condition.  Please review all photos for best description of this fabulous, antique Pendleton!!  Non smoking home. This is the real deal!
