Vintage 1983 Harold Washington for Chicago Mayoral Campaign Buttons (Lot of 2)
Up for sale is a pair of original, authentic 2.25-inch political campaign buttons from Harold Washington’s historic 1983 mayoral run in Chicago. These are genuine historical artifacts from the election cycle that saw the victory of Chicago's first African American mayor.
Both pins feature their original union-made stamps ("bugs") on the design, confirming their authenticity as period-correct pieces rather than modern reproductions.
What is Included in this Lot:
• "Health Coalition for Harold Washington" Button: A scarce special interest coalition pin reading "Health Coalition for Harold Washington — Harold Cares About Your Health."
• "Washington For Chicago" Button: The classic, iconic primary campaign slogan button with blue and white rays.
