Based on the same mechanical and acoustic design as our multi-pattern CK12, this capsule retains the complex multi-chambered structure that gives the CK12 its classic tone. The cardioid-only design makes it ideal for microphones that do not require omni or figure-8 operation.
Precision machining, lapping, and careful diaphragm alignment are used to achieve the accuracy and consistency expected from a true CK12-style capsule.
Insulated Aluminium Diaphragm
This version uses an insulated aluminium diaphragm, giving the capsule a distinct response while keeping the open and musical character of the CK12 design. It offers a smooth top end, clear midrange, and controlled low frequencies, with a slightly different texture compared with a standard metallised diaphragm.
