Vitcas Heat Resistant Silicone Specification

Suitable Applications

Vitcas Heat Resistant Silicone can seal suitable joints in and around:

Always check the operating temperature of the joint before application. For areas exposed to temperatures above 300°C or direct flames, choose a product designed for that specific application.

Compatible Materials

The silicone provides good adhesion to many common materials, including:

However, surface treatments and different types of plastic may affect adhesion. Therefore, test the sealant on a small hidden area when you are unsure about compatibility.

How to Apply Vitcas Heat Resistant Silicone

  1. First, make sure the appliance and application area are completely cold.
  2. Remove dust, grease, loose material and old sealant from the joint.
  3. Make sure the surfaces are clean and dry.
  4. Cut the cartridge nozzle to produce the required bead size.
  5. Fit the cartridge into a suitable sealant gun.
  6. Apply an even bead directly into the joint.
  7. Tool and smooth the sealant before a surface skin begins to form.
  8. Finally, allow the silicone to cure fully before exposing it to heat.

Curing Information

Curing time can vary depending on the temperature, humidity, joint depth and surrounding materials. A thick bead or a cool environment may increase the curing time.

Do not operate the appliance or expose the sealant to heat until it has cured fully. Always follow the instructions and curing times shown on the product packaging.
