A highly collectible, vintage manual breast drill manufactured by Hyllus in Italy. This heavy-duty tool features an enclosed gear casing and retains its original decorative metallic maker's badge reading "Hyllus – Marca Depositata – Italia".
Features:
- Dual speed gear function (changed by repositioning the crank handles/pinions).
- Fitted with its original shaped metal breastplate/pommel designed to let the user apply body weight while boring.
- Two turned wooden handles (one side grip, one crank handle)
- Mechanics: The winding handles move smoothly and gears turn. The chuck jaw functions but could benefit from a light oiling/cleaning to free up fully.
