Offered today is a Vintage 1931 Brass Oval Shaped New Zealand Railways Builder's Plate. The builder's plate is No. 266.  The builder's plate is approx. 18" long and 10 1/4" wide.  Around the outside rim are the words,   The builder's plate is in fair condition; most of the black paint is worn off,  and the number 6 is missing the bottom part of the 6 (see photos).  In addition to the mounting holes there are six extra holes, and the back of the plate does show rust.
