A classic old French homespun linen sheet with a handstitched seam in the center.   It has a beautifully embroidered “CM” monogram in heavy redwork hand stitching.  As is frequently the case with these old sheets, when they became weak or torn, they were often cut and patched almost like a quilt to preserve them.  This one has 2 such large hand stitched patches.  

The condition poor/fair. We find a few small repairs, as pictured, a few spots and an area of weak fiber, all pictured.  Hand laundered - bright and fresh!  Because of the weaknesses, it is being sold strictly “as is”.
