Dating & Provenance:

• Country of Origin: Stamped "TAIWAN" on the underside of the hinge assembly, dating it to Schwinn's high-quality manufacturing transition era.

• Reflector Detail: Features the original CatEye RR-180 BTR red safety reflector. The lens carries the BS 6102/2 British Standard safety compliance mark, which dates this specific production run to 1982 or later.

Condition Report:

This rack is in beautiful structural shape for its age. The spring-loaded trap retains excellent, tight tension. The aluminum and chrome show minor surface age/scuffs consistent with vintage use but will polish up brilliantly. The original red CatEye reflector is fully intact with no chips, cracks, or deep scratches. Missing only the small mounting bolts for the bottom of the drop-out struts, which are easily sourced at any local hardware store.
