This is for a nice sterling silver snuff-box from 1902. It is decorated to the lid with a courting couple in a woodland scene and there is nice detailing to an open book on the floor. The silver carries a full set of English import hallmarks dating to Chester 1902 along with the initials SBL for Samuel Boyce. The box also has the original Dutch  silver marks on the base, to show it existed a long time before 1902, i cant date it exactly, but it would have been the very early 1800s at least. It is in excellent  condition with light surface wear, no holes in the lid and the interior has a lovely rich gold gilt finish. The lid shuts tightly and it measures 55mm (2.25") x 42mm (1.5") and stands 25mm (1") tall. It weighs 64 grams.
