While on-card autographs remain the norm, 2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey brings a major refresh to the acetate-driven NHL card brand.

Per UD, "Upper Deck Ice has been stripped down to the studs and rebuilt as a premium, Hobby-exclusive one-pack-per-box product."

Each box includes one autograph, one relic and one Ice Premieres rookie, on average. The key difference is the box output, which drops from 72 cards per box (in 2024-25) to eight cards per box (in 2025-26).

2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey Checklist Rundown

Although there are far fewer cards per box, the 2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey checklist hopes to make up for it with more quality.

All cards are printed on 60-point card stock (or thicker) with a premium finish.

Base & Ice Premieres Details

Up first for 2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey, every card in the base set and Ice Premieres subset showcases 70-point stock with acetate fronts and backs.

Highlighting at least two players from each NHL team, the 100-card base set works in a few parallels.

2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey Base Parallels

• Red- /199
• Green- /99
• Gold- /25
• Champagne Gold- 1/1

Another 100 cards are dedicated toIce Premieres, split into four rookie tiers numbered to 999 copies or less. Every box has one Ice Premieres rookie card.

2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey Ice Premieres Rundown

• Level 4- /999 (#101-129)
• Level 3- /499 (#130-169)
• Level 2- /249 (#170-190)
• Level 1- /99 (#191-200)

Each level also addsGold(/25) andChampagne Gold(1/1) parallels.

Insert Details

Among the 2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey inserts, the debutingBlack Ice(1:6 packs) andBlack Ice Rookies(1:3 packs) sets display acetate designs on the front and back. Look for the rareGold Spectrum(/25) edition.

There are a few other new insert lines in '25-26 Ice, includingBreaking the Ice(1:4 packs), which uses a broken glass design to draw attention to NHL stars.

Top names appear frozen in the all-newCryogenic(1:5 packs) series.

Showmen(1:4 packs) captures the look of a circus for top stars and rookies.

There's alsoTickle the Twine(1:4 packs), highlighting top scorers. On average, every box has one card from Breaking the Ice, Cryogenic, Showmen or Tickle the Twine.

Returning UD Ice lines includeSub Zero Rookies(/499),Sub Zero Rookies Photo Variant(/49) andSub Zero Stars(/399). Upper Deck also noted that, because of a new decorative coating process on the front, these 60-point cards are 3x thicker than in past years.

As for the plexi cards,Dry Ice(1:16 packs) is a new "frosted" series, andExquisite Crystalis back for another run.

Autograph & Relic Details

Led by the hard-signed content, the 2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey checklist is still packed with hits.

Tapping into the main lineup are theBase Auto(1:4 packs),Base Gold Auto(/10),Base Jersey(1:2 packs) andBase Patch(/35) cards.

From there, the rookie chase is on withIce Premieres Autos(/299 or /199) cards and rareGold(/25) parallels. Fans can also track down memorabilia versions inIce Premieres Jersey(1:3 packs), which addsPatch(/25) versions.

However, the key options for some rookie collectors might be in theIce Premieres Auto Jersey(/35) andIce Premieres Auto Patch(/10) sets.

Check out the newFire & Ice(#'d), with red-ink paint penFirecards and blue-ink paint penIcecards.

Mimicking a wax seal, theHand Stamped(1:10 packs) cards feature only hard-signed rookie autographs.

Of course, 2025-26 Upper Deck Ice Hockey keeps some brand staples going viaGlacial Graphs.

Following a one-year break,Signature Swatches(/99 or less) is back with game-worn relics.

TheSub Zero Rookieset also continues withBlue Auto(1:6 packs),Gold Auto(/10) andPhoto Variant Gold Auto(/10) cards.

Not seen since the 2005-26 release,Cool Threads(/249) has numberedPatch,Auto JerseyandAuto Patchparallels.

As with most hit-driven UD sets, autographs from prior Ice releases are another hit possibility. This includes signatures from 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Estimated Release Date:September 23, 2026

Hobby Boxes

• 8 cards per pack; 1 pack per box; 16 boxes per case (2 inners)

Please read the entire listing before purchasing. All cards shipped via USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Hits will be in top-loaders, rookies will at minimum be sleeved, all other cards will ship in a team bag. Per eBay rules, there are no refunds once the live break starts. If you are unable to view the live break, the video will be uploaded on YouTube shortly after completion. If a card is pulled that has multiple players on it, whoever has 51% ownership of the teams will win the card. If nobody has 51% of the teams associated with the card, we will use random.org at the end of the break to determine the winner. This listing is not for a specific pack, box or case of cards or memorabilia. There is No Guarantee we will pull a specific card or player. Pictures in this listing may include images that represent cards or other items which may be available overall in the live break, but do not offer, promise, guarantee or otherwise imply the specific card(s) or other item(s) will be pulled in this break or any future breaks. You are hereby bidding on the opportunity to watch our YouTube Live break. If there is a card pulled that does not have an auction spot, we will use random.org to randomize the card to all auction spots for this break. If a retired player is pulled, we will award it to the team on the card. If no team is on the card, it will be the jersey they are wearing in the picture, then the team they spent time with the longest (if it comes to that). All payments will be through eBay Payments. If a buyer fails to pay on time, their team(s) will be offered up to the group before the start of the break. In the event of a power loss and/or loss of internet service, the break will be put on pause and communication will go out to each winner about when the break picks back up. Refunds are not issued in this case. Bakersfield Hobby cannot assure the claims made by the product companies on their hit guarantees. For instance: If a specific brand claims that there are two autographs per box and we only pull one, this is not grounds for a refund from Bakersfield Hobby. Buyers understand that Bakersfield Hobby cannot control this, and will ship the cards we open on camera. Nothing more, nothing less. Most of all, have a great time with the breaks, and good luck!!
