Function:
1. Connecting the anti-roll bar to the shock absorbers/lower control arms
The anti-roll bar is a transverse metal rod spanning the chassis; its ends are suspended in mid-air and must be secured to the wheel suspension via sway bar links to form a functional load-bearing structure—without these links, the anti-roll bar cannot operate at all.
2. Suppressing body roll during cornering (primary function)
When a vehicle turns, the outer wheels are compressed while the inner wheels lift, causing the vehicle body to lean toward the inside of the curve.
As the wheels move vertically, the sway bar links force the anti-roll bar to twist; the metal rod’s inherent elasticity resists this movement, pulling against the body to reduce the degree of lean, thereby improving cornering stability and grip, and preventing the vehicle from feeling unstable during high-speed lane changes.
3. Balancing vertical movement between left and right wheels
When a wheel on one side hits a pothole or speed bump, the anti-roll bar acts through the sway bar links to simultaneously pull on the suspension on both sides; this counteracts the height difference between the two sides, reducing lateral body sway and improving ride smoothness.
Fitment:
Replacing the original sway bar links:
1. First, verify that the original sway bar links use a 90-degree mounting configuration; compatibility requires the same mounting style.
2. The thread specification must be M10 to ensure a proper fit.
3. When replacing the original links without performing other modifications, our links are compatible as long as the original link length falls within the travel range of our product.
Modification usage scenario: (lowering or raising vehicle height)
1. First determine whether the plum string boom of the original car is installed at 90°. Only the same installation method can be installed.
2. The thread specification must be M10 to fit.
3. Use the length of the plum string boom of the original car and the customer to lower or raise the height of the car to evaluate whether our product is within the scope of adaptation. For conventional double-wishbone home suspension, the body is raised and lowered by 10mm, and the range of plum string suspension rods is generally around 7-10mm. The variation range of 20mm is between 14-20mm. The adjustment of conventional family cars generally does not exceed 30mm.
