Vintage 1970s Roamer Searock Automatic men’s wristwatch, powered by Roamer’s in-house MST 522 17-jewel automatic movement.

A wonderfully period example with a large gold-plated tonneau/cushion-style case and an unusual teaked brown dial with applied baton hour markers, centre seconds and date window at 3 o’clock.

The case measures approximately 35mm wide × 41mm lug-to-lug, excluding the crown.

The watch sets, winds and runs well during testing, and the date function operates correctly.

Fitted with an aftermarket ink-blue leather strap.

Condition is good vintage overall with age-related marks and wear to the gold-plated case as shown. The dial is particularly attractive and retains its distinctive striped finish.

Please note there is one prominent scratch/mark visible over the dial area which appears to be on the inside surface of the acrylic crystal rather than on the dial itself. This has not been polished or otherwise disturbed and is clearly visible in the photographs.

A very characterful 1970s Swiss automatic with one of Roamer’s own MST movements rather than a generic third-party calibre.
