Up for sale is a highly scarce and historically important original interwar Bessarabian Real Photo Postcard (RPPC), dated precisely to July 1935, documenting regional high-society and social history from the Kingdom of Romania era.
The front features a crisp, beautifully preserved monochrome studio bust portrait of a sophisticated woman. Her hair is styled in flawless 1930s finger waves secured with bobby pins, and she wears an elegant Art Deco geometric beaded necklace.
The Historical & Regional Studio Highlight (The Reverse Side):
The back of this card is an outstanding archival document for Eastern European photographic historians, offering rare localized markers:
  • Rare Orhei Studio Stamp: Features a beautifully struck, highly legible oval purple ink photographer's workshop stamp: „Fotografia M. LOȘACOV / ORHEI, Târgului 154”. Moisei Losacov (Loșacov) was a prominent local photographer, and finding his intact studio stamps is exceptionally rare due to regional WWII devastation.
  • Handwritten Dedication & Location: Written in a delicate period ink script in Russian, reading a warm personal memory to a friend: "Дорогой Маріи Андреевнѣ на память отъ Зины" (To dear Maria Andreevna, in fond memory from Zina).
  • Exact Date and Place: Explicitly hand-dated and signed with the town name in pre-revolutionary Russian style: „25/VII 1935. Оргеевъ” (Orhei / Orgeev, July 25, 1935).
