The glossy black dial is signed Rolex, Oyster Perpetual Date, Submariner, 1000ft = 300m, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, with luminous hour plots in gold surrounds, Mercedes hands, and a Cyclops lens over the date at three o'clock.
At the foot of the dial the watch is marked SWISS - T < 25. That is the tritium designation Rolex used before the change to Luminova in the late 1990s, and it is visible in the close-up photograph of the dial. It is fitted on the matching two-tone Oyster bracelet stamped 93153-18, with a folding clasp stamped Rolex, Registered, Swiss Made and Steelinox, carrying the clasp date code W2. The green Rolex seal is still on the case back. The watch weighs 142 grams.
