All Supermicro chassis equipped with Gen 1.5 2.5" SAS/SATA hot-swap backplanes, including select SC113 and SC216 series 2.5" drive bay models.

General Compatibility Rules

Designed for 2.5" SAS/SATA hard drives and SSDs only; not compatible with 3.5" drives or NVMe U.2 drives.
Only fits Supermicro Gen 1.5 2.5" hot-swap backplanes with LED indicator support. Not compatible with older Gen 1 or newer Gen 2/Gen 3 trays due to different physical latches and connectors.

Works with most 1U/2U/4U rack-mount servers if the chassis officially lists MCP-220-00098-0B as original or optional drive tray.
