Rogue cop Eddie Jillette (Richard Gere) is a man with a mission. His partner has been killed in a bungled undercover operation and Eddie will stop at nothing to bring the killer, the psychotic crimelord Losado (Jeroen Krabbé), to justice. But when he eventually manages to track down Michel (Kim Basinger), the only person to have witnessed the killing, the pair find they have to run for their lives.
