This is an antique Arts and Crafts Mission copper, iron and brass ceiling canopy with four hanging chains.

I would estimate it dates circa 1900s or 1910s.

The entire piece measures 21 1/2 inches tall when extended (54.6 cm). The canopy measures 4 1/2 inches wide in each direction (11.4 cm).

I wish I could have seen the fixture this came from. I purchased it just as it is.

The ceiling canopy and extended piece attached to it are made of hammered copper which was painted black. The ball, large ring and four chains are made of iron which are painted black. The four pieces with screw holes at the end are made of brass which were painted black.

The entire piece has scratches and scuff marks and other age related wear to the surface. The only thing that really stands out to me is that the small piece in between the extension and ball can separate from the extension. I’m sensing this gets corrected when the entire piece is tightened up. That little piece also has a small crack at one of the corners. I have taken a photo of this.

Otherwise, I will have to say please use the photos as your guide!

It weighs a little over 2 lbs. 14 oz. (1.312 kg).
