A wonderfully imaginative pair of vintage artisan-crafted woodland cottages, created from natural bark-on wood and filled with charming dimensional details. These have the wonderful storybook quality of something discovered tucked away in an enchanted forest—a perfect blend of folk art, fairy-tale whimsy and rustic woodland character.
Each cottage has been individually worked into the natural wood, allowing the irregular shape, bark, grain and organic character of the material to become part of the architecture itself. The tiny doors and windows are individually cut and carved into the pieces rather than simply painted onto the surface, creating wonderful depth, shadow and dimension. Small ledges, entryways, applied moss and greenery, miniature mushrooms and other woodland elements complete the scenes.
The substantial size and dimensional construction make these particularly striking as wall décor. They would be fantastic incorporated into a woodland or fairy-themed room, cottagecore interior, rustic cabin, storybook nursery, fantasy collection or eclectic folk-art wall. There is also plenty of opportunity for a creative new owner to further embellish the cottages with tiny faux flowers, vines or other miniature woodland elements if desired.

Approximate measurements:
Tall/narrow cottage measures 23” high x 4” wide and projects approximately 4” from the wall.
Smaller/wider cottage measures 15.5” high x 5” wide and projects approximately 3.5” from the wall.
Both pieces are in very nice vintage condition with no noted issues or concerns. These are handcrafted from actual natural wood with the original bark incorporated into the designs. As such, irregular edges, cracks, knots, variations in texture, natural openings and other organic imperfections are inherent to the wood and are part of their rustic character rather than condition flaws.
