Original antique cabinet portrait of an unidentified young woman, photographed in Vilna (present-day Vilnius, Lithuania) during the Russian Imperial period, approximately c. 1890s.

The portrait was produced by the photographic studio of S. Fleury & Baczanski.

The young woman is shown in an elegant dark high-collared dress with a characteristic late 19th-century hairstyle. The photograph has an attractive warm sepia tone and excellent portrait detail.

The reverse retains the original elaborate gold studio backmark, giving the address in French as:

Rue Grande Maison No. 70

The backmark also states “Les clichés sont conservés,” indicating that the studio retained the photographic negatives.

The photograph is mounted on its original period cabinet card and remains in very attractive condition for its age.
