The photograph was produced by the Frères Czyż photographic studio in Vilna.

Elizabeth is shown as a young woman wearing an elegant fitted dress characteristic of the period, with elaborate decorative trim, lace at the neck and cuffs, and a large bow.

A particularly attractive feature of the portrait is her very long braided hair, clearly visible falling over her shoulder and extending almost to her hand.

The hairstyle, fitted dress and decorative details provide an interesting example of women's fashion and hairstyling of the 1870s.

Elizabeth belonged to the Bujwid family. The Bujwid name is recorded among the noble families of the Vilna Governorate and was historically associated with Vilna and the surrounding region.

The photograph is mounted on distinctive black card with gilt borders. The reverse retains the elaborate gilt Frères Czyż studio design.
