Own a piece of gaming history, with this rare chance to purchase a very limited item. From the original release of The Binding Of Isaac, purchased on Thu, 1 Dec 2011.

Described by creator Edmund McMillen as “The most rare and most valuable Isaac merch he has ever created.

Only 131 of these were ever created, each had a unique screen printed cover, contains 42 pages of sketches, original character concepts, game design details, interviews, and loads of other really cool visual and text details of the creation of a modern classic game.

Each zine also came with a unique hand-drawn and signed sketch of one of the game’s items. At the time, there were 131 items in the game, and each one came with a signed sketch of an item. This one came with Blood of the Martyr, a particularly cool item representing the crown of thorns that were placed on Christ’s head during the crucifixion, and in game it gives Isaac’s tears +1 damage, and turns the tears a blood red. This item name is a reference to the book of Revelations: And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. - Revelation 17:6

The condition of this is immaculate, it has remained in the original sleeve it was shipped in for 15 years, only coming out for careful reading from time to time.

Also included are the two Dr Fetus stickers it shipped with, from McMillen’s other classic game, Super Meat Boy.

This game is an enduring hit, having reached new heights of players in 2026, and arguably created a subgenre of action roguelikes that has subsequently spawned hundreds of contemporaries.

To my knowledge there are no documented instances of this item ever having been sold after the initial shipments of 131 units sold out.
