Here we have for your delectation a true Barn Find JW York and sons eflat tuba
It has a 20 inch bell and blows very nicely.
It’s totally unrestored, with even the original water key cork still in it.
Check out the beautiful way the ferrules are made on this instrument and of course the quality of the engraving.
It has a few dents on the bottom bow and the odd unsoldered brace, but for the most part it’s in exceptionally intact condition.
I’ve seen a few of these converted into C tubas in an effort to recreate the famous York tubas of Arnold Jacob’s
