A really rare and interesting silver metal (untested but possibly silver) mounted hunting horn - most likely for presentation rather than use. Online they appear to be for powder although I cannot seem to open the top of this example. The horn is applied with mounts inset with cairngorm style stones and terminating at the point with a collared stag. A silver plated chain hangs through the two applied loops so it can be hung. I can’t see any marks anywhere but AI indicates this was quite normal in Scotland for such pieces. The horn has a couple of small bruises and scratches but it has survived really really well.
