maximum SPL before distortion, and elevated sensitivity so you're not

cranking gain at the preamp. Gentle high-frequency rise gives clean,

present dialogue.

PLEASE NOTE: the NTG1 runs on 48V phantom power only - there is no

battery option. If you need battery power, that's the NTG2. Make sure

your recorder or mixer supplies phantom power.
