 Brad Mehldau Trio – Live

A double-CD live album from pianist Brad Mehldau with bassist Larry Grenadier and drummer Jeff Ballard, recorded at New York’s Village Vanguard in October 2006.

The set combines Mehldau originals with adventurous interpretations of material by Oasis, Soundgarden, Chico Buarque, Ray Noble and John Coltrane. Highlights include extended versions of Wonderwall, Black Hole Sun and Countdown, showcasing the trio’s improvisational modern jazz approach.
