A very handsome and well made antique c1890s Nottingham style Arbour star back fishing reel Fishing reel.
A large sized fishing reel it is made from rich mahogany wood with a large sturdy brass seat, brass and ebony handles and brass and steel fittings.
It is an unmarked reel, English make c1890s, very attractive with the star back design, this reel has full brass checks but the check is faulty needs some attention.
It is an arbour reel and still preloaded with vintage fishing line.
Attractive as a display piece or as a gift for the fishing enthusiast.
Condition: Good used condition overall, some signs of use and wear commensurate with age, a couple of small dings, scratches and knocks to the wood, a nice strong antique reel, check is faulty needs attention.
