This wonderful pair of original vintage Toleware sconces with a really lovely French style, they are certainly not perfect but they exude charm and epitomise that shabby French shabby chic style. They each have a plastic candle sleeve, which could easily be replaced and will look great with flame effect bulbs. They simply screw to your wall via holes in thee brackets.
They will look delightful in any pretty vintage styled room, and will go especially well with painted shabby chic furniture and floral wallpaper. The ideal gift for anyone with a love of vintage and are fantastic decorators pieces. It is really magical how a statement wall lights like this can transform the whole look of a room.
In GOOD vintage condition with certain cosmetic signs of age; the painted surfaces are uneven and the patina is obvious. This shows clearly in several of the photos. They could be re-painted if you wanted to tidy them up but I find this natural aged effect really charming. They also have some damage to the candle sleeves, caused by using too high wattage lightbulbs which have melted the plastic. As you can see they are currently in working order. You will need either a professional electrician or a confident DIYer to fix them in your desired location, it will be up to them to get them working there. It was designed to be used with a European 220/240 volt domestic power circuit, so if you are from a country with 120 volt mains (like USA for example) they may need adapting.
