Attractive antique cast brass string/twine dispenser dating from the late Victorian/Edwardian period, approximately c.1880–1910.

Highly decorative scrolling design with vacant cartouche, removable domed lid with central string aperture and integral holder for the ornate scissors.

The scissors fit into the purpose-made holder and are included.

No maker’s mark found. Good antique condition with age-related patina and wear as shown in photographs.
