Vintage 1970s Roamer Elegant Swiss Mechanical Watch – MST Cal. 801

A particularly stylish vintage Roamer Elegant gentleman’s wristwatch dating approximately to the 1970s, with a classic stainless-steel cushion/tonneau case and silver sunburst dial.

The dial has excellent period character, with applied steel baton hour markers, matching hands, central sweep seconds and the distinctive Roamer Elegant branding. Its angular case shape gives the watch a very recognisable 1970s look without being oversized.

Inside is the Swiss MST calibre 801 manual-wind mechanical movement, produced by Meyer & Stüdeli/Roamer.

The watch currently winds, sets and runs. As with any vintage mechanical watch of this age, no guarantee of modern chronometer-level accuracy or water resistance is implied unless specifically tested.

The stainless-steel case measures approximately:

32mm wide excluding crown
37mm lug-to-lug

It is fitted to a vintage expandable stainless-steel bracelet which suits the watch particularly well and will accommodate a wrist of approximately 20cm.

Condition is good and honest for a watch of this age. There are age-related marks and scratches to the case, crystal and bracelet, together with some visible ageing around the outer edge of the dial. Please study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
