Antique, 19th century, molded black glass button with an intaglio lizard, gold luster filled. It has a self-shank with deep thread grooves.  It measures 7/8" in length; NBS size medium. Excellent condition, perhaps in need of a little cleaning. A really striking and collectible antique button!
