A handwritten period inscription on the reverse identifies the scene as being inside a Komsomol committee office and identifies the people as the secretary and deputy. The inscription is dated:

The male figure appears in uniform-style clothing and tall boots and wears badges or insignia on his chest. The woman holds papers or a newspaper. A wall notice and office furnishings are also visible.
