***Beautiful vintage Soviet Russian Palekh lacquer miniature box, hand painted and dated 1977***

The lid features an elaborate fairy-tale style scene of a young couple surrounded by stylized trees, swirling blue forms, golden decorative elements, and richly detailed foliage against a traditional black lacquer background. Fine gold accents and dotted gold borders beautifully frame the miniature.

The lower left inscription appears to read “ПАЛЕХ 77 г.” (Palekh, 1977). The artist's signature at the lower right appears to read “В. Дудоров” (V. Dudorov). This appears consistent with Palekh artist Viktor/Victor Dmitrievich Dudorov. Artist attribution has not been independently authenticated, so please review the detailed signature photographs.

The underside is also marked “Made in USSR.”

Condition:
Very good vintage condition for its age. The hand-painted miniature remains colorful and detailed with attractive gold decoration. There is some minor surface wear, light scratches/scuffs, and edge wear consistent with age and previous handling. The red interior remains bright and attractive.
