NVIDIA NVS 315 1GB DDR3 Dual-Display Graphics Card
MPN 900-52018-2200-000 / 699-52018-0501-000
What it does
The NVS 315 is a business display card: its job is driving two monitors from a single PCIe slot at low power and low noise, which is why these turn up in office desktops, digital signage players, dashboards and trading or monitoring walls. The single DMS-59 socket carries two independent display channels, so one Y-splitter cable turns it into two DVI, two VGA or two DisplayPort outputs. It is a 2D display card rather than a gaming or compute card.
Condition
Tested working. PCB clean on both faces with no corrosion or burn marks, capacitors all flat-topped, all four heatsink screws seated, the NVIDIA fan and its four-wire lead intact and seated in the header, DMS-59 contacts and both jackscrew posts undamaged, bracket straight, PCIe contacts showing light even insertion wear. Tamper-evident label intact. Light dust from service.
What's Included
One NVIDIA NVS 315 1GB DDR3 Dual-Display Graphics Card.
Fitment
Fits a desktop or workstation with a free PCIe x16 slot
Two monitors from one slot, through a single DMS-59 socket.
NVIDIA · NVS 315 · PCIe 2.0 x16 · 19.3 W
Fits
decided by the slot, the bracket and the display cable
This fits if you have
• A free PCIe x16 slot — a PCIe 2.0 card, and Gen 2 through Gen 5 slots all take it
• No power cable — all 19.3 W comes from the slot
• A standard tower — the full-height ATX bracket is fitted; a slim or small-form-factor case needs a low-profile bracket, which is a separate part
• A DMS-59 splitter cable — dual DVI-I, dual VGA or dual DisplayPort. The listing is the card on its own
• Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 64-bit, Server 2012 R2–2019, or Linux — NVIDIA Release 390 branch
Windows 11 sits outside the Release 390 branch. The only display connector fitted is DMS-59 — there is no DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort socket on the bracket, so a splitter cable does the connecting.
Per display: 1920×1200 at 60 Hz over DVI single-link · 2048×1536 at 85 Hz over VGA · 2560×1600 at 60 Hz over DisplayPort 1.2.
A graphics card is matched to the machine it goes in and the job it does — the two cards on this shelf are not alternatives to each other. The left column is the machine; the card beside it is the one that fits, and the line under each card says what it drives.
