Offered today is a brass mail tag from the Northern Pacific Railway. The tag is approx. 3 1/4" long and 2" wide. There is a slot at one end for a strap. The words on the tag read, "RETURN PROMPTLY TO GENERAL OFFICE MAIL ROOM N.P. RY. ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA". There are no manufacturer's markings on the tag. The tag is in good used condition, the words are strong, there are a couple small dents at one end, and a number of scratches are on the tag, and some wear on the brass.
