Up for auction is a Zenith Model 2-103 ‘Long Distance’ table top tube radio. The body and chassis are in overall very good condition. There is one small piece of veneer missing on the front (pls see photos). The cord looks to be original but is in good condition and given that, I plugged in the radio and it powered up ( see photos of glowing tube). That said, only static came from the speaker. The tuning knob does not move the station indicator and needs to be addressed. The condition of the shellac finish is good given its age. There is some staining on the bottom of the radio along with some writing (can’t make out what it says — see photos). FYI - for shipping, I typically open the back of the radio and insert some sort of packing material into the body to prevent the tubes from dislodging during shipment. I will do this unless the buyer instructs me otherwise. Pls send me any questions you have and thanks for looking.
