The revised and expanded 1979 edition of Rennie Ellis's landmark, unvarnished photographic record of Australian graffiti, with a preface by historian Ian Turner (written shortly before his death in 1978). This edition includes all the material from the original 1975 Australian Graffiti plus fifteen extra pages of new graffiti and a new cover featuring model "Isobel." Hundreds of black-and-white photographs, shot on a Pentax Spotmatic, capture toilet-wall wit, roadside signage, political scrawl, and larrikin humour from pubs, universities, and public lavatories across the country — a candid, warts-and-all slice of 1970s Australian vernacular culture.

Condition: Good, consistent with a well-handled 1970s trade paperback. Covers show noticeable wear with rubbing, edge and corner wear, and a couple of small closed tears/creases to the spine ends. Front hinge is starting but holding. Interior pages are clean and unmarked, complete and intact, with strong contrast on the photographic reproductions. A solid reading/display copy of a scarce Australian counterculture classic.
