RAILROAD-UNION PACIFIC-LOT OF TWO MENUS-"CHILDREN'S MENU" & "MEALS THAT APPEAL"
Offered today is a lot of two children's menus and a brochure from the Union Pacific Railroad. Each Children's Menu features a baby bear sitting on a chair holding a steaming bowl of food on the front and back covers. Inside the menu are illustrations of the story Goldilocks and the Bears along with the actual menu items. The UP logo is also featured, along with the words "Yellowstone Park". There is no date on the menu, but the prices are 60,75, and 85 cents which give an indication of maybe circa 50's. Each menu measures approximately 3 1/4" wide by 4 7/8" high and one is in excellent condition. The second one has a double graphic printing illustration on the inside, so I would consider it to be in fair condition. The second item is a brochure entitled, "Meals that Appeal" and it features the words, "First Call to Dinner" and describes the "atmosphere of gracious hospitality" and the description of the various types of tempting selections to the descriptions of the different foods prepared by the culinary talents of the chefs and the welcome greetings of the steward and trained waiters aboard a Union Pacific train. The front cover features an illustration along with the U.P. logo, and the back cover features "Some advantages of Train Travel" and also which states the Union Pacific Serves. There is no date on this item but there are two black and white photographs which look to be circa the 50's. This brochure is 3 1/2" high by 6 1/2" wide and in excellent condition. Winning bidder pays $6.95 shipping within U.S. Thanks for bidding and good luck.
