RAILROAD-UNION PACIFIC CHINA TEAPOT WINGED STREAMLINER PATTERN NOT RR BS
Offered today is a china teapot from the Union Pacific Railroad. The teapot is in the Winged Streamliner pattern and features a picture of a Winged Streamliner with a green circle on both sides of the teapot. The teapot is not railroad backstamped but does have the manufacturer's name on the bottom, "Sterling', Vitrified China, East-Liverpool-Ohio, U.S.A." The date code on the bottom is
L-9. The teapot is approx. 7 1/2" long from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle, and approx 3 1/4" wide at the top, and approx 5" wide in the center. The teapot is approx. 4 1/2" tall. The teapot is in very good condition no cracks, one 1/4" chip on the bottom rim (see photo). The chip does not detract, and shows only slightly (on one side only).
