Well loved for around 120 years!

A little piece of Edwardian history, where deep bloodstone and warm carnelian meet in a beautifully tactile gold seal.

Dating to the early 20th century, this antique Edwardian swivel watch fob seal combines two richly coloured gemstones in one elegant, reversible design. Bloodstone has long been associated with courage, strength and protection, while carnelian symbolises vitality, confidence and creativity. Together, they create a striking piece with both visual character and historic meaning.

The substantial 9K solid gold mount is partially marked 9ct. The swivel fitting itself is rolled gold rather than solid gold, adding an important detail to its construction and history.

Imagine
Worn as a distinctive pendant, charm or fob, this handsome piece brings antique character and a sense of history to both contemporary and traditional styling.

Features

Condition
Very good antique condition overall, with gentle age-related wear to the gold and a little discolouration to the fitting. There is a tiny crack to the edge of the bloodstone; otherwise, both bloodstone and carnelian present beautifully.

Presentation
Presented in an antique box with a gilded red leather exterior and navy-blue velvet interior. The box is not original to the fob but complements it beautifully and enhances its presentation. Good antique condition with age-related wear.

Collector’s Note
Antique swivel watch fob seals are increasingly appreciated for their craftsmanship, versatility and historical character. The combination of bloodstone and carnelian in a substantial Edwardian gold mount makes this an especially appealing example for collectors of antique seals and jewellery.

Carefully selected for its craftsmanship, authenticity and timeless appeal.
