Vintage Novelty Tape Measure in Shape of Ink Blotter - Complete Internal Tape Measure in Seasonal Colours with Original End & Xmas Label Still Attached - VERY RARE FIND

Features impressive red and gold decoration with matching inset material that is in keeping with it having been originally gifted at Christmas time. Must have been treasured because the original gift tag is still attached to the end of the tape measure.

Looks to be made from tinplate. The metal sides painted in red with gold coloured border and top finial. All original. Base unpainted.

A miniature design modelled as a boat-shaped ink blotter from an antique desk. Looks exquisite. Measures just 8 x 3.5 x 3 cm. Great for a cabinet display.

Complete with full length of tape measure. A double-sided retractable tape measure that is complete with its end. Runs from 0 up to 100 cm / 40 inches.

In very good working condition. Works perfectly as a a measure and with just a few chips to the edges of the red painted section, commensurate with age. See photos showing all angles.

Very practical as well as being highly collected. Some great colours to this one!
