This is the third book in Dare Wright's beloved Lonely Doll series, following Edith the doll and her bear companions Mr. Bear and Little Bear on a summer farm holiday in the Catskill Mountains. Edith discovers a kitten in the hayloft and longs to keep it, leading to a dramatic rescue involving a basket, a rope, and a very high barn beam. Illustrated throughout with Dare Wright's signature black and white photography.
