The letter mentions the "American Joint Distribution Committee" and is signed "G. Osrin". There is a long list of the organization's Jewish leadership on the left-hand side of the letterhead. Letter measures 8" x 10". 

The donation receipt was from the "South African Jewish War Appeal" but the word "War" was crossed out as World War II had already ended, but the organization was still fund raising for Jews in Palestine and Israel. It is signed "B. Schatz". Measures 4 1/2" x 3 3/4".
