FORWARD:
It is a
mark of a good horseman, in our opinion, to see that his groom, like himself,
is instructed in the way in which he should treat his horse.
Robert W. Collins spent only two weeks, in the spring of 1958, in writing the first draft of this book, but he had “carried I in his head” for years, waiting
For the opportunity to prepare the typescript. The obligation he felt to write such a book was based on his regard for the sport of racing, his concern for the well-being of its central figure, the horse, and his observation that, as racing expanded in the United States, there was no corresponding increase in the number of knowledgeable and skillful horseman available.
This is sooooo worth whatever you end up paying for this old treasure….
If more than one item is purchased I will do combined shipping.
