ABOUT THE DOLL
I have been involved in paranormal investigation for over 25 years, on and offtraveling, documenting, and collecting objects associated with unexplained activity.
Over the years, I have collected objects that I personally believe have been connected to paranormal experiences. Some have been completely uneventful, while others have had stories and experiences surrounding them that I have never been able to explain.
Due to health conditions, I am now parting with pieces from my personal collection.
Up for sale is Holly, one of two dolls I collected in 2005.
The other doll, Edith, is available in my other listing.
The story below is the history that was told to me and what my friend and I personally experienced when we investigated the house where Holly and Edith were originally found.
THE STORY OF HOLLY AND EDITH
I came across Holly and Edith back in 2005.
At the time, I was talking to a woman through a paranormal group chat. She was looking for someone interested in investigating her late mother's house after her mother had recently passed away.
She told me that while she was growing up, her mother had been involved in a lot of dark things.
When she was younger, she moved in with her father, while her mother relocated a few towns away to Decota, West Virginia, in the Appalachian Mountains, near where they had originally lived
By then, she had little contact with her mother for several years.
It wasn't until shortly before her mother's death that they reconnected. They visited each other a few times before her mother passed away.
After her mother's death, she inherited the house.
She and her husband were struggling financially and having trouble finding work. They decided to clean the house up and move in for a while until they could get back on their feet and eventually get closer to the city.
She said that the moment they stepped inside the house, the air felt unusually heavy.
At first, she assumed it was because the house had been closed up for several weeks.
As they cleaned, they found all kinds of unsettling items books about black magic, satanic cults, and drawings of what appeared to be a dark, shadowy figure.
Her mother had also collected and restored old dolls, and the house was filled with them.
THE FIRST EXPERIENCES
The first night they stayed there, she said she woke up around 1:00 a.m. after having a disturbing dream.
She couldn't remember much about it, except that there was an old woman whose face was completely blacked out, making it impossible to see.
A few nights later, her husband told her that he had experienced a disturbing dream.
Without knowing about hers, he said he had dreamed about an old woman.
Thinking they had both been working a lot while moving things and were simply exhausted, she figured it was probably just a coincidence.
A few days later, around 2:00 a.m., her husband woke her up and told her to call the police because it sounded like someone was downstairs walking around and moving things.
She got on the phone with the dispatcher while her husband grabbed his gun and slowly made his way downstairs.
As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he said he saw the shadow of a person through the kitchen doorway and could hear things being moved.
He yelled that he had a gun and that the police were on the way.
All of a sudden, the noises stopped.
He slowly walked into the kitchen and turned on the lights, but there was nothing there.
A few drawers were open, and the cabinet door underneath the sink was open.
A while later, the police arrived and searched the house and property but found nothing.
They figured it was probably an animal that had gotten inside and moved a few things around.
Keep in mind-neither of them believed in the paranormal at this point.
THE TWO DOLLS
A few days before joining the group chat, she and her husband had been cleaning out her mother's doll room and workshop.
They came across two dolls sitting on her mother's workbench.
It looked like they were the last dolls her mother had been working on.
Next to both dolls was a small card with their names written on it:
HOLLY AND EDITH
She cleaned off her mother's workbench and placed Holly and Edith into a box with the rest of the dolls.
After they finished boxing everything up, they moved the boxes into a storage shed behind the house.
Later that night, they were watching TV when they heard loud banging coming from the shed.
Her husband looked out the window but couldn't see anything because it was too dark.
He grabbed his gun and went outside.
As soon as he opened the back door, the banging stopped.
Everything went completely silent.
There was no wind, no crickets, nothing.
Feeling uneasy, he quickly came back inside.
They waited about ten minutes to see if they heard anything else, but they didn't.
So they continued watching TV.
About an hour later, they heard what sounded like someone sanding or filing something.
They both got up and looked around again but couldn't find anything.
Thinking they were simply tired, they decided to go to bed.
THE FIGURE IN THE HALLWAY
Around 2:00 a.m., she opened her eyes and saw a dark figure standing in the hallway outside their bedroom door.
She quietly woke her husband and told him to be quiet and look.
After a few seconds, he said he could see it too.
They both lay there in shock, unsure of what to do.
The figure slowly moved down the stairs.
They could hear each step creaking.
Then they heard the door to her mother's doll room open, followed by what sounded like several desk drawers opening.
They quietly made their way downstairs and slowly opened the doll room door.
As soon as they looked inside, they both saw a dark shadow quickly move across the room and disappear into the closet.
They were both shocked by what they had seen.
Without saying a word, they quietly went back upstairs.
They stayed awake for a while, but nothing else happened.
Since they both had to get up early the next morning, they eventually tried to get some sleep.
THE DOLLS MOVE
The following day, after they got home from her father's house, they decided to finish cleaning the doll room, even though neither of them wanted to go back inside.
They joked around a little before going inside.
As they started cleaning, she noticed the two dolls sitting back on top of her mother's workbench.
She told her husband:
I know I put both of them in the box with the rest of the dolls. I remember because they had cards with their names on them Holly and Edith.
Neither of them touched the dolls.
They left them exactly where they were.
They decided they should find someone who investigated paranormal or unexplained events to see if they could get some answers.
Since they were going to be living in the house for a while, they wanted to know if something was going on.
MY INVESTIGATION
We talked more in the group chat, and eventually, she and her husband invited my friend and me to stay at the house for a few days while they went out of town with her father.
They wanted us to set up our equipment, see if we experienced or captured anything, and find out if it wasn't simply them spooking each other.
So I accepted.
My friend and I hopped on an airplane from California to West Virginia.
The house was deep in the Appalachian Mountains.
We arrived early Friday evening.
She and her husband were there to greet us.
After unloading our gear, we walked into the house.
It immediately felt heavy and very dark.
I got into paranormal investigating because I was a skeptic, and in many ways, I still am.
My friend, on the other hand, believes in the paranormal.
But the moment we stepped inside, we both got goosebumps.
The couple showed us around the house and then took us into the doll room, where they said the figure had disappeared into the closet.
There, exactly where they had left them, sat Holly and Edith.
Holly and Edith looked very odd.
Holly had no hair, as if she was still in the process of being restored.
Edith looked like someone had given her a bad haircut. Her bangs were cut.
I didn't touch either of them.
I left them exactly where they were.
We continued looking around before they showed us to our room.
We were tired from the flight, and it was about 10:00 p.m.
Since they were leaving the next morning, my friend and I decided to get some sleep.
Around 1:00 a.m., we were awakened by a loud bang.
My friend and I jumped up and turned on the lights.
The closet door had swung open.
The couple came to check on us, and we all looked around, but we didn't find anything.
We stayed up for a bit. but eventually went back to bed.
CAMERAS AND THE VOICE RECORDER
The next morning, the couple got ready and left.
My friend and I started setting up a couple of cameras in the doll room and another upstairs in the hallway near their bedroom.
As we were setting everything up, the house still felt heavy.
We also noticed there was absolutely no noise outside not even the wind.
I joked with my friend about it, but honestly, I was a little nervous.
We were the only house around for what felt like miles.
We made breakfast, and while we were eating, we heard what sounded like noises coming from upstairs.
We both stopped talking and listened.
Then we heard footsteps above us.
We went upstairs to check it out and found a few dresser drawers open.
My friend grabbed the camera, and we played the footage back.
For a second, there was some static, but that was it.
So we set the camera back up and waited for nightfall.
Nothing really happened that evening. Around 1:00 a.m., we went into the doll room with a voice recorder and started asking a few questions.
We felt a few cold spots and had the feeling that someone was watching us through the window.
We continued walking around the house, but nothing else really happened, so we decided to go to bed.
We still had another night there.
The next morning, we reviewed the voice recorder.
When we listened back to one of the questions we had askedwhether there was someone therewe heard what sounded like a faint growl in the background.
We also checked the cameras.
The one in the doll room had captured the same static we had noticed before.
We also saw Holly move just a tiny bit on the table.
So we decided we were going to sleep in the doll room that night.
BAD IDEA!!
THE SECOND NIGHT
As nightfall came, we noticed it had gotten silent outside again.
We had a flashlight and shined it toward the shed.
It looked like there was a shadow in the window.
I don't scare easily, but let's just say we didn't go out there.
We brushed it off as the flashlight creating shadows.
We stood up and asked a few questions using the voice recorder, but not much happened.
When I looked at my watch, it was 1:34 a.m.
We decided to just lie down and go to sleep.
Around 3:00 a.m., I woke up with the feeling that someone was watching me.
As I reached for the flashlight, I noticed my friend sitting up in the dark, looking at me.
I asked him if he was okay, but he didn't answer.
So I asked him again:
Are you okay?
He slowly pointed toward the closet.
As I turned around, it looked like the shadow of a head disappeared very quickly, and the closet door slowly creaked shut behind it.
I jumped up, turned on the lights, and looked inside the closet.
I know it sounds crazy, but I did it.
I didn't see anything except Holly the doll lying on the floor near a box.
And Edith was on the table, face down.
I know for a fact we never touched them after seeing them on the table.
I turned around to look at my friend, and he looked confused, almost like he was in a daze.
I asked him how he was feeling, and he mumbled that he felt nauseous.
He said he had a dream that he was standing in the kitchen of the house.
He saw an old woman in the hallway and followed her into the doll room.
Once he stepped inside, she was gone, and the room was dark.
That's when he saw a long shadow coming out of the closet, and he froze.
At that moment, he heard my voice calling him.
That's when he woke up.
Right then, we heard what sounded like growling coming from outside.
You could barely hear dogs barking in the distance when, all of a sudden, it sounded like a dog scratching at the front door.
We got up to look.
Everything stopped.
From that point on, we didn't sleep, so we reviewed the night-vision camera in the doll room.
It recorded static the moment everything happened.
That's when you can hear me get up and run to the closet, and then the static goes away.
In the background, you can see Holly is missing and Edith is turned face down.
Nothing else happened.
As soon as the sun came up, you could hear the birds and everything else outside again.
TAKING HOLLY AND EDITH
The couple showed up early that afternoon.
We told them that something was definitely happening there that we couldn't explain.
My friend recommended that they not stay in the house until he could get in contact with someone he knew who could come and cleanse the house of whatever was inside.
They agreed.
They said they would stay at her father's house until they got the house cleansed.
I asked if I could take Holly and Edith because I collected items that were associated with, or believed to be connected to, the paranormal.
They gladly said yes and told me I could take all of the dolls if I wanted.
I only took Holly and Edith.
AFTER BRINGING HOLLY HOME
When I brought both dolls home, I sat down to see if I could capture anything.
Nothing happened. I just got an uneasy feeling.
A few days later, though, I woke up and heard the same scratching at my front door, like a dog was outside.
I got up to check, and once again, it stopped. After that, I decided to place both dolls in custom-made display cases that had been blessed by a curandero who is a friend of the family.
They have been under lock and key ever since.
Since then, I haven't had anything else happen.
As for the couple, they reported back that after getting the house cleansed a week later, they no longer felt that dark, heavy feeling and had not encountered anything else.
I have only removed Holly to take the pictures of the inside of the box.
There is also a light that can be turned on and off from the outside.

If you are going to purchase Holly, please do so with caution and treat her with respect.
Do not take this doll lightly.
Only experienced collectors should consider purchasing her.
I will package the doll as securely as possible.
I also recommend that, once you receive her, you wear gloves, avoid touching her with your bare hands, and place her back into her display case as soon as possible.
