What it does

This is a PCIe network card that adds four wired Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) ports to a server or PC. It slots into a PCIe 2.0/2.1 x4 (or larger) expansion slot and uses the Intel i350 controller for reliable quad-port 1GbE - useful for network teaming, extra segments, or virtualization.

Condition

Used pull, tested working. Board clean; four RJ45 ports, Intel controller heatsink and gold PCIe x4 fingers intact. Full-height bracket fitted.

• A PCIe 2.0/2.1 x4 slot — or any larger x8 / x16 slot (Dell PowerEdge, other servers, desktops)

• A full-height chassis — a tower, or 2U and larger

• A need for four 1GbE copper (RJ45) ports — Cat5e/Cat6, 10/100/1000BASE-T

Check before buying: the full-height bracket is fitted — a low-profile or 1U chassis needs a low-profile bracket, which is not included. And this is 1-gigabit copper (RJ45): not 10GbE, and not SFP+/fibre.
